Can a windows 7 computer replace a PS3 or xbox, Tivo hd, and a blu-ray and dvd player?

TOOTAl2

Answer
not really. windows 7 is able to replace your DVD player and Blu-ray player if you hook it to your television and are willing to go through the widows boot process anytime you want to watch a movie. There are DVR programs you can install that give you DVR functionality but they lack the easy interface of a dedicated TIVO. you can often find PC versions of XBOX games because they are both microsoft products but Playstation keeps a pretty tight riegn on their gaming franchises so even though you can download PS3 emulators (illegally mind you) they will never match up to using the hardware the game was designed for. If you choose to go this rought then you need a PC with Windows 7 or the new windows 8 demo version, a TV tuner card, a blu-ray drive, a PS3 emulator (again illegal), a bluetooth adaptor (for linking your PS3 and XBOX controllers), and DVR software. Your probably looking at $500-$800 depending on brand and you still would have to have a computer that has a strong enough processor and enough memory to run all of this.

Is there an emulator software for PS2 or PS3?

robruiz19

Where can I download it? and some details of the software...

Answer
no emulator for PS3 im for sure, and there is no way you can pull that iso or nfo image writing **** either, the damn blu ray player disables everything us hackers find enjoyable.

ps2 emulator.... hm...... well emulators aren't a very popular way of playing games on the computer anymore. but i will look into it more for you.

EDIT: holy jesus my savior! i stand corrected i just found a software for the PS2 emulator

[{Link}] http://www.emulator-zone.com/doc.php/ps2/pcsx2.html

i am not sure if it is good or virus free so install at own risk. Happy Hunting!

How do I convert SSBB files to video?

Joe Kennin

Ok, I have a program that lets me convert pictures, & I know about what the video bin file is, it's just coordinates & button commands, but I have a question.
If I had an emulator & SSBB for my computer, could I upload the file into the emulator, & record it with HyperCam or something?

Answer
You may try this video converterï¼ E.M. HD Video Converter which can âConverting all videos to HD Video
Convert video and AVCHD to DVD, DivX DVD
Create Blu-ray Folder for PS3 and Blu-ray Playerâ
my friends recommend it to me, it's easy to use and works pretty well for me, I think it well worth the money. If you are interested in it,
You can search this software from here:

Is there a working PS3 emulator?

Lord Of Fe

Answer
No and there won't be for quite a long time. Emulation requires hardware that is significantly more powerful than the platform you're trying to emulate.

So if you want to play PS3 games, you're going to have to buy a PS3. They aren't that expensive nowadays when you think about what you're getting for $250:

Controller ($60)
3D blu-ray player w/internet apps ($150)
Oh yeah, plays PS3 games ($40???)

What is the point in the PS3 updates?

medlock22

The updates take forever to download and nothing on the PS3 changes when the update is done so whats the point in them?

Answer
A update is a application that brings the system configuration up to this date hence update. A update dose two things fixes or enhances features or removes them totally. Yes it fixes bugs bc sometime the developers forget to do this and that so a update takes care of that. Before the digital internet if you bought a device and it didn't work you had to send it to service very often. But with the internet you can download application that takes care of that.

Now sony latest "update" 3.30 was really a killer bc it removed the function to install Linux or as they say other os, but you could only install Linux. The official reason the removed it was bc of security reasons, but unofficial version is that on Linux you could get a ps2 emulator and play ps2 games on a ps3 that sony didn't want you to. Plus you could get apps to rip Blu-Rays so sony losses both ways, and so they removed it.

Now if you don't install the updates you cant use the PSN plus the Blu-Ray player and future games bc they need updates and to get that you must be connected to the PSN. So in other words just install the updates or you are just bricking the system.

Well with me it took maybe 5 min do download the update and some to install. Now obviously it depends where you live, the internet speed plus your home network status that determans the speed. But do as I do let it update and go eat food or take a walk outside.
