Blu-Ray Player software for Windows 7?

My parents got a new computer and it came with a blu-ray player. They want to be able to watch blu-ray movies on their computer, but I can't seen to find any software that will allow them to do that. I know the blu-ray drive works, because I can put a blu-ray disk in and browse through the folders. But I can't play blu-ray movies. I tried VLC, Quicktime, WMP but none of those worked. Are there any free blu-ray players for Windows 7?

I have bought so many Bluray disks and my house does have Bluray player device.I just don't want to use the player.I use my computer most of the time. The device is taken up by by brother and sister.So I have to give in to them.Can any help for me?

My Toshiba Laptop Windows 7 will not recognize a new Blu-ray DVD I just bought. Says it doesn't support this kind of file. Any suggestions or downloads I can get so I can watch this movie ?

First off, there is no such thing as a DVD Blu Ray. They are two difference technology, DVD or Blu Ray. To play a Blu Ray disc you will need to have a Blu Ray disc player. Blu Ray disc player can however play the DVD. Hope this will help you out.

not really. windows 7 is able to replace your DVD player and Blu-ray player if you hook it to your television and are willing to go through the widows boot process anytime you want to watch a movie. There are DVR programs you can install that give you DVR functionality but they lack the easy interface of a dedicated TIVO. you can often find PC versions of XBOX games because they are both microsoft products but Playstation keeps a pretty tight riegn on their gaming franchises so even though you can download PS3 emulators (illegally mind you) they will never match up to using the hardware the game was designed for. If you choose to go this rought then you need a PC with Windows 7 or the new windows 8 demo version, a TV tuner card, a blu-ray drive, a PS3 emulator (again illegal), a bluetooth adaptor (for linking your PS3 and XBOX controllers), and DVR software. Your probably looking at $500-$800 depending on brand and you still would have to have a computer that has a strong enough processor and enough memory to run all of this.

Can a Philips BDP5010 Blu-Ray Player stream video from a Windows computer?

I see that Target has the BDP5010 Blue-Ray player for $80 now. It has an ethernet port, and can play DivX files. Does anyone know if I can stream videos shared on a Windows computer (Windows 7 Ultimate, specifically)? Currently I am using an Xbox 360, but want to setup another TV and don't want to shell out $200 for another Xbox.

The ethernet port will only get you whatever content is offered as features of that Blu-Ray player..This could be Net-Flix-Pandora Radio-You Tube -Blockbuster or others.It is also possible it is only there for doing firm-ware updates..Check the features closely...

How to stream to Sony BDP-BX57 Blu-ray player?

I just finished setting up my Sony BDP-BX57 Blu-ray player and I want to stream files from my Windows 7 computer to it. The computer is wired to the network and the BDP-BX57 is wireless. How do I setup file sharing to it?

You use the windows media player, to stream files set the player up to share files with the public also set the network up for file share...also you have to have a wireless router installed if not you need to run an either net cable from the network router to the Blu ray player depending on what router you have......the blu ray will need to be detected by the network and may need a pass word to install depending on the router, check the network settings on your computer and also follow instructions on the TV screen for the blu ray....
