INSIGNA Blu Ray player remote?

I bought a blu ray insigna and rented a movie, the preview played fine but when I try playing the movie with the play button on the player I got a signal on the screen that said prohibit and a cicle with a cross... I don't understand and I don't have a remote. what can I do other than buy a $60 universal blur ray remote control

That signal will appear if you press play/skip too early. Try waiting until the FBI warning is done or after the previews.

Try going onto the Best Buy website (see link below). Find your model # and see if they have spare remotes - I've bought one on there for a remote I lost and it only cost about $15 but I'm sure the costs can vary.

i have a samsung BD-P 1590 blue ray player.. but i lost the remote... now i wanna know if theres any other way i can use it without.. maybe an app for android or iphone? can i connect a mouse to it? a bluetooth mouse perhaps? any solutions will do thanks

You can not connect your iphone to the player and control the operation of the player. Most players have a manual control on the unit itself. Your owners manual will also provide the proper operation. Hope this will help you out.

Do you have a Samsung TV? If so you can use that remote. If not, you could buy a universal remote (i.e. Logitech Harmony 550) to control both your Blu-ray player and your TV.

Call toshiba for the newer codes or take the universal back and purchase a Harmony. Even better, see if you can purchase an orginal Toshiba remote. It will be much cheaper than Harmony. All you have to do now, is search the web for the remote.

I want to use a lg Blu-ray DVD remote on my panasonic Blu-ray DVD player. The lg remote model is AKB73215301. The panasonic Blu-ray player model number is DMP-BD60. I lost my panasonic remote so I want to attempt to program the lg remote to control the panasonic Blu-ray player.

Generally, no. If the LG remote is also a universal remote, you may be able to do it, but this is typically not part of component remotes. If you have a remote for your TV or cable box, you might be able to use that for the panasonic as well, or you can buy a cheap universal remote.

Is there any way to watch Blu-ray movies without the blu-ray remote?

My younger sister always loses the Blu-ray remote. We find it and somehow, after she's done using it, it's just gone.

Some of the blu-ray movies start up without us having to push play; they seem to not have a menu. Others, we're able to hit the play button that is on the blu-ray player itself. And with most of the other movies, this button on the player does not suffice. The menu remains. How do we play these movies without the remote?

I lost my Sony Blu Ray player remote. The model is the S360, and I can't seem to find the remote anywhere. Not in stores and not online. I was wondering if maybe the PS3 Blu Ray remote would work for it, seeing as how they are both Sony, but on the back of the packaging it says "For PS3 only."

It won't let me play half of my movies because they can't be controlled from the player itself, it has to be done by remote control. D: Heellpp.

Yeah the PS3 remote wont work, it uses bluetooth. Maybe try a universal remote, try google-ing a remote compatable with your model of player.
