What is the best software play Blu-ray on Mac currently?

Blu-ray drive is necessary as Mac has only DVD drive as for now. If you are using the Macbook pro you can try the new internal BD drive from MCE.

For the software, you may choose Aurora Blu-ray Player Software, etc.

I own a 2011 MacBook Pro and it does not play Blu the only workaround out there is buying an eternal Blue Player

Definitely not, well i guess it is possible in theory, but getting the computer to accept it would be impossible. Considering Apple just refreshed the MacBook Pro line i wouldn't expect this addition until atleast next march, and thats only if they decide to do it then. Easiest option is to buy and external.

I really like the Macbook pro, but they are really expensive. i dont really know that much about laptops or notebooks, but i would want it to be fast, have a built-in web cam, good sound quality, a nice, big screen, and maybe a blu-ray player. if you find any that match most of these things, could you post the weblink in your answer and how much it is? thanks so much!

You don't need a Pro. Apple lowered the MacBook to $999.00. Here's why you should get a Mac:: There are NO CONS. The MacBook does both WinBloze and OSX, no other computer can make that statement. You have the best of the best. Apple Stores are popping up all over and you can make an appointment for a time and date, bring your computer there. They will troubleshoot it and fix it if it's a software problem it's FREE. What other computer company has stores and can make that statement? Get the 2.4 GHz with 4Gigs Ram and you got a speed machine like mine. The WinBloze people may not like a Mac computer but I'll bet they all have iPods. Go Mac and Never Go Back. Mac, the User Friendly Computer.

Q. I just got The Social Network (IMO one of the best movies ever, JS) and it's Blu-Ray and the only way I know of is playing it on my Blu-Ray player but I want to play it on my MacBook Pro. I tried it earlier but it rejected the disk... can I download some sort of (SAFE, NON-VIRUS GIVING) software to play it?

Nope. Blu-Ray discs may look similar to DVDs but they are different at the microscopic level. No regular DVD player can play them, even if there was software to do that.

Plus, no Apple products have Blu-Ray drives, only DVD drives.

I have a Wii, an ipad and a macbook pro, and I was wondering if this is possible to do? My ipad is wifi & 3G and I may want to watch something on it away from my wifi, but my wife or kids might want to watch something on the Wii or computer at home. Can this be done on one account?

In my house, we routinely watch different netflix movies on different platforms at the same time, specifically the Blu-Ray player and our PC. We also find that, given a knowledge of our password, a relative of ours is able to access our netflix account from his laptop at an entirely different location while we are using it at our home at the same time.

Could you help to make the LG CP40 external blu ray work on my MAC?

I wanted to be able watch my Blu Ray movies so I went out and bought an LG CP40 external blu ray drive. I read here on LG's website that the CP40 is Mac compatible. On the box it says it works only for Vista and 7. I've also seen on other forums that some people got the CP40 to work for their Macs, but how?

So my question is how can I go about using the Cp40 on my macbook pro? I've seen people mention programs like Mac Blu Ray Player and Plex but I'm still lost.
