Ultra-portable with Blu-Ray?

Maybe what I am looking for doesn't exist but I figure I will ask. I am looking for a

1) Ultra-portable laptop (<12" screen)
2) Windows 7 (preferably x64)
3) Internal Blu-Ray drive
4) Weighs less than 4 lbs.

Anyone know if what I am looking for exists? Thanks in advance!

not sure this qualifies, as screen is 13.1", but weighs sub 3.2 lbs. & config ^ leaves you $2,400 lighter
& in as far as blu-ray on a sub 12" screen system > i have not been able to locate any such system ... personally sounds a bit tricky to me, this build

Because Blu-Ray isn't DVD..... That's why they sell Blu-Ray players AND DVD players.
Blu-Ray discs need a different kind of laser, and store information differently.
The good news is that Blu-Ray players play both Blu-Ray discs and DVDs.

Blu-Ray discs need a different kind of laser, and store information differently.
The good news is that Blu-Ray players play both Blu-Ray discs and DVDs.

Panasonic Portable Blu-ray Player or Portable DVD Player?

I hear a lot of people say that Blu-ray movies are so awesome and look great. Panasonic is releasing a portable player in the next few months. But the only thing is that it's going to be like over $500. It's going to have internet also. On the other hand, I can get a really nice portable dvd player for around $200. (Sony) Sony's player can play music on it also. I've never watched a Blu-ray movie but I'm all about quality of the picture. Which do you guys (and gals) think I should get?

If you want one with a really good picture Blu-ray is probably the way to go but it will be on a small screen anyway. From what you said you have no Blu-ray disks so DVD is better for the fact you would actually have things to watch on it. As for internet it is probably only some places with a network in range so for travel probably not good. I think I would go with DVD for travel but if at home go for an actual normal Blu-ray player.

Everyone is going to argue against this, but I think the results depend on the equipment you have already. I have a higher end television set that does a great job up-converting and processing the video signal. I also have (left from years gone by) a higher-end Yamaha DVD player. So I went out and bought a bul-ray to go with my 46" LCD HDTV and I hooked it up with an HDMI cable. I could barely see any difference between the blu-ray disk and the regular disk on my Yamaha.

So, I returned the blu-ray and got my money back. My wife and daughter also said "what's the big deal supposed to be?" so we stayed with the regular DVD player.

If you have bottom tier equipment to begin with, or you have a 65" screen, then a blu-ray might produce a picture worth the price. It didn't for me.

Will an energizer xp18000 charge a portable blu ray player?

I have a Funai portable blu ray player and the battery isn't great (2.5 hours) I recently saw that the Energizer XP18000 could charge a laptop as well as many other devices. I know that a laptop tip is similar to the tip to my blu ray charger. Does anyone know or think that if I were to get the charger, that it will charge my blu ray and give it the extra battery I'd like? Let me know, thanks!!

Why does my Sony Blu Ray Player keep changing the source mode of my television?

I have a Sony BDP-S360 Blu Ray Player that when powered on will have to be unplugged before I can switch back to cable. I even powered it down but it will boot back up as soon as I change the source on the television.

To get back to cable, I unplug the HDMI cable from the television but it is getting annoying. What should I do?

I have the new apple tv and it doesn't do that on or off. It must be the player.
