PS3 Worth Trading For XBOX 360?

Hi I have a PS3 40GB PS3 with only one game I REALLY play, COD4 online. Don't get me wrong though, there are tons of games I like on the PS3, just right now I am interested in COD4. I could easily trade it for a 360, but I am wondering if its worth it. All of my friends have a PS3, so if I got XBOX, I would have no one to play with like that.

-has HD DVD player (which is obsolete and useless because they only make Blu Ray DVDs, not HD DVDs.)
-not cheaper than the ps3. wifi adapter is 100 bucks and 1 year of online is 50 ($150 added to any bill)

Dont waste your time with an xbox they will just break. i have owned both for a long time and the PS3 is by far the better choice. so its 100 dollars more...big deal. you get a larger hard drive and an amazing blu ray player. dont listen to bias people. you will get xbox lovers saying how the ps3 is junk. they are beyond ignorant. they are both amazing but the ps3 triumphs.

im thinking about trading my xbox 10 gig 360 for a 40 gig ps3.
the only problem is all my friends online have the 360.
but as a system, i tihnk the ps3 is better.

it is tough that your friends have the 360, but your right, the ps3 is better on almost every level. plus, the ps3 will have way more games and better exclusives (already has better exclusives) by mid to the end of 2009.

I have an Xbox 360 coming pretty soon, but I might have to get the P3. I don't want to press my parents to pay for xbox live every now and then. And the Ps3 has a built in blu ray player, which is good because we only have blu ray dvds. Can I possibly trade it in?

if you mean a straight up trade,one for the other,then no.you would need to trade in the xbox 360 and then add money to it to get a ps3.hope this helps.

Can I return an item to best buy that was purchased with rewardzone points and get full store credit?

I received a Blu-Ray player from Best Buy but I already have one. The buyer informed me he used rewardzone points and he is not sure I can get full store credit. The store is an hour away, and I can never get someone on the phone. Will they give me full store credit, or will the rewards certificates decrease the value of the item?

What will most likely happen is that they will offer you an exchange for the value of the player. Those programs rarely is ever give cash back because think of it this way: Every person and their mother wants the mooooola. So they cash in their points for electronics, and then return the electronics, and now the store has a "used item", which is worth less than what it originally was worth, and the "buyer" now has the cash. Now, if you and I had a store, would we allow that? I'm just using an example.

How do you get your surround sound to work with DVD and Satellite system?

We got a Curtis surround sound system(not wireless) that came with a sub-woofer, 5 small speakers and a DVD/Blu-Ray player today. We have the speakers hooked up to the DVD player but don't know what we need to use to hook it to the satellite so it works on both.
We have two extra cables and we are not sure where to use them or even if we have to... the cables are the ones usually plugged in for the audio (the red and white ended cords).

Unfortunately those HTIBs (Home Theater In a Box) trade quality and connectivity for convenience and as such, you are often not able to fully utilize all of your components to their highest quality with one.

That being said there are ways to connect everything together. Your best option is to connect the satellite box to the TV with the highest quality connection possible (HDMI) and then connect the satellite box to the home theater system using a digital coax or digital optical cable. You'll want to avoid using the red/white RCA cables if you can as they do NOT have the ability to carry surround sound.

Also, you'll want to avoid connecting your TV to your home theater system by the audio out of the TV as the vast majority of the time this connector is unable to transmit a surround sound signal. The TV manufactures do not spend the extra money to make a TV that can only produce stereo audio, able to pass through surround sound.
