Which brands of Blu Ray players have You Tube apps, where you can watch videos in HD?

I have the Sony BDP-S185, and it has a lot of internet apps with it. The problem i am having is You Tube. I can only watch You Tube videos in boring Standard Definition. I wanna watch You Tube HD 720p videos in all their glory. Any suggestions on a different Blu Ray player made by another company without the standard definition limitation?

From what I can research, the app that YouTube creates for Blu-Ray players does not have this function. I would suggest contacting YouTube.

Ok so i'm lloking to by this LG Blu-ray player with built in wifi and I have some questions because I have no Idea how they work. I have a 32' Emerson LED Flatscreen TV

1.) How do they work?
2.) What do they do? What can you do with them?
3.) Do you need to have internet to use the wifi?
4.) Will it work with my tv?
5.) Can you browse the internet on your tv with it?
6.) Can you connect a laptop to it and use the wifi

I know a lot of question but i'm 15 and not very tech savy when it comes to Blu-ray players

2.) What do they do? What can you do with them? It's really depends on what kinda app come with it. Usually netflix, vudu movies (with vudu you can buy and rent movies), probably YouTube and pandora

3.) Do you need to have internet to use the wifi? Yes, you will not be able to use the apps like netflix without internet

4.) Will it work with my tv? Yes you will probably need a hdmi cable if it doesn't come with it, witch it usually doesn't . It will probably come with 3 cables yellow red and white, but the get a good picture you will need hdmi

5.) Can you browse the internet on your tv with it? Most DVD player do not have that feature so probably not just YouTube

6.) Can you connect a laptop to it and use the wifi? No, but there are other things that can do that like Apple TV

Do you mean Vudu? If so, then it depends on the Blu-ray player. It would need to either have the VuDu app pre-installed, or be one of the players that allow you to add new apps.

Hi, I'm looking for a (preferably cheap) Blu Ray player that has wifi, youtube, netflix, and great picture quality. Any help would be appreciated!

Note: I do NOT need/want 3D.
Edit: I don't want a PS3. 1. I'll feel obliged to buy games and spend more money, 2. It doesn't have youtube, and 3. I have an Xbox360.
Edit again: PS3 is also way too expensive. I'm looking for like 230 and lower, preferably much lower for a non-3D (making it non-new).

I have a Samsung BDP-6300T that I got as a BD gift from my in-laws. It is awesome and the last time I saw it at Costco they had gone from 250.00 CA to 170.00CA. This unit has it all and I love it WIFI came with Lord of the Rings, all cables too but would recommend a higher grade HDMI cable like Rocketfish or Monster for instance. Has all the apps like Netflix, Twitter, Facebook, Youtube you name it you got it as well as games, art work gallery, front media reading USB port reads everything on my external HD. Samsung also has an App for support services. What can I say Samsung products are the bomb. Good luck with your shopping.
P.S. Stay away from LG
Opp's almost forgot it is also DIVX HD capable

Why are my LG Blu-Ray Player apps glitchy/buffering?

I have an LG BH6720S 5.1 Channel Home Theater System with Blu-ray Player and I love it except for when I use the "built-in" YouTube app. It doesn't matter if I'm paired to devices like smartphones or an iPad, the playback on the TV VERY often buffers and stalls playback to a maddening degree. (It took over 3 minutes to play the first 40 seconds of a video due to excessive buffering.

I have Comcast high speed internet run through a NetGear wi-fi router and the router is the type which "splits" the speed. My speed test shows I'm running between 28-30Mbps on my internet.

Other available apps on the Blu-Ray player include Netflix and Hulu and I have none of these issues. Is there anything I can do to fix/make better the YouTube buffering problem?

I have powered down and unplugged/re-plugged the unit and even done a (scary!) plug pull while the player was powered up (out of desperation, and I hated doing it).

I know this is a long post and I thank those who read it through and try to help. I wanted to give as much info as I could to better help YOU help ME.

Netflix and Hulu have a download logic program that determines the speed of your connection and the amount of buffer you will need for your particular speed; in order for the movie to play all the way through...so the movie will not start untill the proper amount of buffer has downloaded determined in real time....you tube has so such program so the video starts when ever....what you need to do is increase the buffer from the start of the video; wait a longer time for the buffer to download before starting the video, you may have to manually pause the video in order for enough buffer to download....through trial and error you can discover what the proper amout of buffer will be.

Connect a firewire cable to the camcorder's DV port and the computer's firewire port.

USB won't work. USB-to-firewire cable/converteradapter things won't work.

Launch the DV/HDV capable video editor and import or capture the video.

This will be uncompressed, 1080i, high definition video. 60 minutes of this will consume about 44 gig of your computer's hard drive space.

After editing, you can export or render to whatever you want or need. For uploading to a video sharing site (like YouTube), an h.264 encoded MOV or AVI file at high quality is good.

For a regular standard definition DVD, you can use that same h.264 file with a DVD rendering app (like iDVD or DVD Maker) to make a DVD-player readable standard definition disc (VOB file).

For high definition video, you should render out to a "Blu Ray" format (MTS) file and burn to a Blu Ray disc using a Blu Ray burner (LaCie makes good ones). This disc will playback only in a Blu Ray player.

Since you did not tell us which camcorder, computer, operating system or video editor, there's not much more detail we can provide...
