Blu-Ray compatibility?

Is it possible to burn an .iso image file for a PS3 game to a Blu-Ray disc using a regular DVD Burner? And the result be a working game? Hypthetically speaking, of course. Strictly out of curiosity I ask this.

A Blu-ray burner is required to read and burn Blu-ray discs, the same as a DVD burner is required to read and burn DVD discs.

If a DVD player could burn Blu-ray files, then no one would pay for a DVD burner, because that would mean you could use a CD burner for DVDs.

CD burns CDs only.
DVD burns CDs and DVDs only.
Blu-ray burns CDs, DVDs, and Blu-ray only.

Blu-ray will not burn HD-DVD either.

Do the iMac's have a blu-ray player or blu-ray burner?

MACs still do NOT have blu-ray players/burners.

The only way for now is to connect an external blu-ray player/burner via USB or Firewire 800.

Sony blu ray player can be used to play blu-ray video dvd and standard video dvd, burn blu ray video DVD, you must have a blu ray burner drive and a blu ray disc on your computer, but the blu ray burner drive and blu ray disc are so expensive, so I think the better choice is that you can convert and burn your avi movies to a standard video DVD which can can be played well on sony blu ray player too, so you can try RZ DVD Creator, it can convert any videos to standard video DVD and burn to any DVD disc(DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW, DVD+RW, DVD-R DL, DVD+R DL, etc), such as covnert and burn any avi movies to standard video DVD which can be played well on sony blu ray player and regular dvd player. blu ray burner/recorder?

i'm getting a PS3, and it has a built in blu ray player. i have a macbook and it has a superdrive (it can burn CDs and DVDs), but what i wanted to do is make blu ray discs because they'd be better than the DVDs. is there anyway i could do either of the following:

1. get an external blu ray burner/recorder that would work with my macbook?
2. burn the DVDs from my macbook and then convert them into blu ray discs with a blu ray burner/recorder?

Oh trust me, I'm not wasting my Blu-Ray player. Way to much money for just a laser. I posted on a couple sites just asking around and seeing if anybody had a broken one that they'd be willing to part with. And I've seen less-powerful lasers light matches. I can't imagine it being that much harder to light a firework fuse.

Your Blue Ray burner is quite possibly in the 100mW range, and
may be classified as a Class 3A (Intermediate power) or Class 3B
(Moderate power) laser. The player laser without the burner will
have lower power.
Only a Class 3B or Class 4 is considered
a fire hazard, with enough power to ignite something like the fuse
on your fireworks. The laser you are considering should have its
class rating listed on the side, but it will definitely take at least a
Class 3B.

I believe that it is cheaper to get a blue-ray with a PC.
$1500 at least for laptop with blu-ray but the one i found is an Corei7 not sure if you will be gaming as well but it is a great buy to any and everything :)

I believe that it is cheaper to get a blue-ray with a PC.
$1500 at least for laptop with blu-ray but the one i found is an Corei7 not sure if you will be gaming as well but it is a great buy to any and everything :)

How can I watch Star Wars Despecialized Edition without burning it on Blu-Ray?

I really want to watch Star Wars Despecialized, but I don't own a Blu-Ray player, let alone a Blu-Ray burner. How can I circumvent this problem? Is there a link to a video file I can just download and watch from my computer? I would even be okay with burning a standard-definition DVD, but I don't know where to find that, either.
