blu ray player trial image

Anyone else having trouble getting the Wolverine movie to play? Using an HP pavilion with a Toshiba blu-ray player. According to HP, Quickplay and Toshiba, I have up-to-date firmware and drivers.
Answer
I had the same problem: HP pavilion using HP MediaSmart DVD (from cyberlink) to try to play the blu-ray. All drivers up to date, latest software updates for Mediasmart etc. Movie would play through the previews but when the movie started to play the video glitched and looped through a short loop of video while the sound continued. Found a bunch of suggestions on HPs website (all relating to updating software/drivers). Tried downloading a trial version of PowerDVD (also by cyberlink) but had the same problem (not surprisingly). Bought and downloaded WINDVD 2010 pro. Installed, rebooted and movie played no problem. Wish I could charge HP back for this, but not going to waste my time trying to get their player to work. I think cyberlink needs to do an update for their player.

Is there a free blu ray player I can download onto my computer?

I have a blu ray drive on my computer but no program to play them on. Is there a free download out there (non trial version) or will I have to buy a program?
Answer
Your manufacturer for the drive should have given you a program on a CD. If not contact and find out. Usually it would be PowerDVD HD or something.
