What Do i use to connect my blueray player to my LG stereo/5 disc DVD Changer?

Rachael Co

My stereo Has a HDMI Plugin, but im pretty sure its only an out. Then their's a COAXIAL IN plugin.

Answer
If there is a coaxial digital input on the DVD surround, you likely can use that.

Otherwise, you might be limited to stereo audio. Video from the Blu-Ray will connect to theTV directly.

I NEED HELP CHOOSING A SURROUND SOUND, WHATS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THESE TWO?

Answer
The Sony is a 5 disc changer HD, while the other up converts your dvd. Both are only dvd players and not blu ray disc player. Also keep in mind that most home theater in a box are not flexible in adding other equipment to it like a blu ray disc player. Both are low end products and made of low quality parts. The best entry level system I have found is the Onkyo HT-S5200 from Fry's Electronic, it is a separate 7.1 receiver and a 7.1 speaker set up for under $500. You can add a Panasonic BD-60 for around $150 from Costco which comes with a 90 day return policy and an extra year of warranty at no cost. Go online to Home Theater Magazine and read the reviews. You will notice that the Panasonic blu disc is the best entry level and also Onkyo ranks high as a receiver. I have also used Onkyo receivers for many years and no problems. Sony quality has dropped over the years. But if you have to make a selection from your choice go with the Sony.Hope this will help you out.
