What kind of package do I have on Comcast?

I have Comcast and I would like to know what kind of package I have on it. I have disney channel and disney channel HD. I also have HBO. I'm asking this because I found Disney Junior, but it said I wasn't subscribed to it? WHat kind of package would I need for Disney Junior? Thanks!!:)

Answer
You have a rip-off package. Call comcast with your question and get a real answer instead of using this forum.

My real answer is this: Comcast is ripping off everyone who is not streaming content to their tv. A cheap way to stream is through your wifi capable blu ray player or from streaming players like Apple TV, WD Live, or Roku boxes. Right now I pay $21.00 a month for Comcast to keep my local and public channels on. If you want to do as I did, disconnect the cable coming in from the wall to Comcast's box, and connect it directly to your tv. Voila, now you have your local channels (plus a few more) in HD, whereas Comcast would love to charge you up the butt for ANY Hi Def channels. Seriously, streaming your choice of content is the only way to go. You need HBO and Disney? It's out there for free, all you have to do is put it on the tube.

P.S. No more enduring 16 minutes of commercials to an hour of programming when you stream your own content.

How do you get HBO go on a onkyo Blu-ray player?

Pcons

Answer
First off you must have a cable or disc network provider and also pay for the HBO service. But your blu ray disc player will only streamline movies from netflex etc. Hope this will help you out.

It doesn't make sense to buy a little box to stream apps if i could also buy a blu ray player and do the same thing. Are there more perks that come with a roku? Is there better quality with a roku? I wouldn't mind having a blu ray player looking at the whole package, but i mostly just want to use it for netflix.

Answer
Sony BDP-S590 3D Blu-ray Disc Player with Wi-Fi (Black) s is a awesome Streamer/Bluray/DVD player. I haven't experienced any issues whatsoever playing back Bluray disks. Boot times are very good with the disks I tested. Everything played back perfectly with stunning picture quality. However, I really purchased this player for its streaming abilities. Sony players were dinged in the past for a poor Netflix experience. Sony have fixed this with a updated Netflix interface that supports 1080p and Dolby Digital+ streams.

How do you do software updates on a Blu-Ray player?

Face on Fi

Im looking to buy a Blu-Ray player and some of the reviews complain about software updates. How hard is that to do? Is it worth the extra $50-$100 to get one that is already updated?

Answer
Manufacturers often create firmware updates to fix bugs or add new features, so even if you buy a player with the current firmware, it could be out of date in a few weeks and need a firmware update.
If the player is connected to the internet, then it will tell you when a new firmware update is available and ask you if you want to install it. If you tell it to install the firmware update, it does it automatically - just be sure not to use the player or press any buttons while the update is taking place - in other words, leave it completely alone or it could crash. If it's not connected to the internet, then the manufacturer will have instructions in the manual about how to get the updates - typically you download them to your computer from the manufacturers website, then save the update on a flash drive, then insert the flash drive into the blu-ray player and let it do the update.

blu ray player ethernet connection image

My blu ray player is tthe Vizio VBR110 and the only way to get blu ray live or access the net is by ethernet connection meaning that I would have to get a cord and hook it up all the way downstairs to the router is there an alternative way to get access using wireless? Such as maybe a USB wireless card?

Answer
you can try a router and a usb wireless adapter so long as you have a usb port that is compatible with such a device. you still need to main line a router to the wall unless you have a neighboring wireless connection thats unsecured. personally its easier to get a 8ft Ethernet cable and hook it up. you can find them cheap sometimes at ross and dollar stores swap meets etc heck. ive picked up HDMI cables for 10$ 6ft.

No, but what do you want to access on your bluray that you cnnot access from your TV. Do you not have a usb port on your bluray, you could get a wireless dongle for that too.

Can the yamaha AVR 463 handle HDMI Audio Input?

Stephan K

Well the Question about says it all. I wonder if I connect a Blu Ray Player to the Yamaha AVR 463, and set it to PCM, will the Receiver be able to play it when I just connect it via HDMI?

Answer
Yes, as specified on page 14 of the Yamaha 463 manual. This receiver can handle Multi-channel Linear PCM input.

http://media.onecall.com/Image_Products/Yamaha/RX-V463_U.pdf

It will not decode HD audio formats however as you seem to realize. No loss though provided your player is capable of decoding them to PCM as you mentioned.

Are there any alternative programs I can download for free to watch Bluray movies on Windows 7?

Answer
If it has a built in Blue Ray CD/DVD drive you do not need any additional software than what is installed on the laptop. Read the user guide/manual for the laptop section on using the optical drive.

The CDC is coming to my house to remove mold. What do I need to get out of my house?

pkbellefim

The CDC is coming tomorrow morning to our house to remove mold with some sort of gas filled canisters and we're supposed to stay out of the house for four days. What should I remove from my home to protect it? Should I take my food in the pantry, computers, Blu-ray players, books, TV, plants, pictures, DVDs, video games and consoles, refrigerator or freezer foods, tea bags, clothes, stuffed animals, VHS tapes, medicines, cups, etc.? My entire family will be staying with relatives for the next few days. We're obviously packing the essentials: clothes, toothbrushes, etc. But I'm talking about taking stuff to protect it from the chemicals.

Answer
The CDC? You do realize there is a government shutdown taking place?

In any event, ask the people who come to your house, not us.

How do I convert hdmi to component?

blu ray player component video output

blu ray player component video output image

Scarlette

I have an older sanyo hd TV and a new lg blu ray player. The problem is that my tv does not have a hdmi output, it only has outputs for component cables. What do I buy to go from hdmi to component?

Answer
How the devices are hooked up with a hdmi cable.
- Blu-ray player hdmi output to hdmi input on tv for tv video+audio. (Configure output and inputs settings).
- Hdmi > displayport > dvi > vga, will all be capable of doing up to 1080p or beyond.
- Component will do up to 720p and 1080i. (If the tv does not have the above connections, it will not likely be able to do beyond 720p or 1080i).

If the blu-ray player has hdmi output and tv gots a dvi-i or dvi-d input,
- Use a hdmi to dvi-d cable.
or
If the blu-ray player has a dvi output and tv gots a dvi input,
- Use a dvi cable.
or
If the blu-ray player has a vga output and tv gots a vga input,
- Use a vga cable.
or
If the blu-ray player has vga output and tv gots a dvi-i or dvi-a input or vice versa,
- Use a vga to dvi-a cable.
or
If the blu-ray player has a component output and the tv gots a tv component input,
- Use a component cable (other than hdmi, a blu-ray player should always have at least one other video output like component video).
or
If your outputs/inputs use a different signal, you cannot use a simple cable, you would need a converter (or a receiver which can convert as well).
- Now to answer your question, if a converter is your only option, you can get a hdmi to component converter, you can find them on monoprice and amazon.
- EDIT: I forgot to mention that both vga and component is analog and hdmi is digital + use different color spaces.ect = you need a hdmi converter to go to vga or component. (Hdmi to vga converter > hdmi to component converter. Check what resolution each does, vga will do 1080p or beyond, while component will only do up to 720p or 1080i). (Check if you got vga, if not use component).

Hook up a Bluray player with only HDMI output, to play audio through Surround Sound connected via component?

Father Tim

Please help, looking to play Blu Ray audio through my DVD/Surround Sound. The Blu Ray player only has a HDMI output, so it is hooked up to the TV. The TV is connected to the DVD/Surround Sound via component. Right now I can see the picture, but I can't see the audio. If it matters, the Cable box is hooked to the tv with HDMI.

Answer
Component (green, red, blue RCA cables) is video only. So from what you've described, you haven't sent any audio to your sound system.

Some dvd/surround systems (especially the cheaper ones) are players only, meaning they don't have any audio inputs to connect anything else to them. In that case, the speakers are only for the built-in dvd player. You didn't say what the tv can output and what the sound system can input so I'm going to have to write a lot of "if"s:

If the Blu-ray player only has hdmi and the sound system doesn't have hdmi input (likely), you'll have to use the tv's audio output. You can only get stereo this way, not full surround sound. Most tvs have optical (s/pdif) as the only output. If your sound system has optical in, use that. If it has digital coaxial (another kind of s/pdif) input, you can get an "optical to digital coaxial" converter. If the sound system only has analog (red/white RCA) input and the tv has a headphone jack, you can connect it that way using a "3.5mm to rca" cable. This is your lowest-cost option and not really any worse than anything else. Last one: If there's no headphone jack but the tv does have optical out, you can get an "optical to analog rca" converter as well.

It's up to you to decide if all this is worth it. If your tv speakers already sound good, it may not be worth jumping through hoops to get the (stereo only) sound out of the sound system's speakers. Someone will probably come along and tell you to just buy a new surround sound system with hdmi (or at least s/pdif) input :)
The way to get surround out of Blu-ray, by the way, would be to connect the Blu-ray player to the sound system via hdmi or s/pdif but that doesn't sound like an option with your current equipment. I personally prefer a player with more output options for this reason.

My PS3 SLIM is 120 GB (gigabytes) I bought it in LATE 2009.

It plays dvd's fine but it doesn't / will not play any of my ps3 games. Whenever I put in a PS3 game, it tries to read it, and suddenly makes a buzzing noise, then rejects the game out on it's own without even showing an error message.

I don't want to reformat it. I already tried pressing and holding the eject button for 12-15 seconds, and that didn't work either. I also did a system update to try and fix it, and that also didn't work.

The games were working fine until today; they worked yesterday as well, and it randomly started to not work today.

Please give information on how to fix it!!!!
If someone can't tell me how to fix it, then please explain to me why it's doing this in the first place, if you can.

Answer
There is about 95% chance your Blu-Ray laser is bad, there are a couple things you could try before calling Sony or trying to repair yourself.

Make sure to have a backup and try some of the recovery options, can sometimes fix software problems.

You can also try a lens cleaner kit, make sure it is made for blu-ray players though.

Why won't this one DVD work in my PS2 when every other one does?

B_ROCK

I recently bought Metallica: Cunning Stunts on DVD. I then watched It on my brothers PS3, and both discs worked. I tryed it on my PS2 at home and when i put the first disk in, it wouldn't work and it was making weird clicking and buzzing noises. I tryed to make it work over and over again and still didn't work. I put the Second disk in and it worked perfectly. I keep trying to figure it out but have no clue what the problem is. This has happened before with my Punisher DVD but after restarting the PS2 a couple of times it worked. I done this with Cunning Stunts and it still won't work. Please help. I love Metallica and I don't want to buy another DVD player etc. just for one disk.

PLEASE HELP!! WHAT IS THE PROBLEM?? HOW CAN I FIX IT??

Answer
I had that exact problem with certain discs including gta san andreas. I'm pretty sure the problem is your ps2, it works fine on your brothers ps3 so its not the disc, dude get a ps3 and you will soon foget about the ps2.

You said "This has happened before with my Punisher DVD but after restarting the PS2 a couple of times it worked". If it was the disc it wouldnt work at all so save up for a ps3 and you will have a blu ray player with it, Movies were meant for HD.

I have a samsung blu ray player that has an ethernet jack to connect to the internet...but my hub is downstairs and running a wire isn't an option. I have wireless throughout the house...is there a way to transmit the wireless signal to *something*, then run the ethernet cable from that to the blue ray player. Thanks. Look forward to hearing some ideas cause now I'm stuck.

Answer
I had the same problem, if you're wireless router is a G series (80211.g) all you need is a range expander. I picked up the Linksys WRE54G which plugs into an electric wall outlet. The WRE54G connects to my 80211.g router wirelessly. The WRE54G has a ethernet port on it that I run into my Blu-Ray player and all works well.

If your Blu-Ray player is a Samsung BDP-1500 you might need two things to enable the BRLive feature. 1: You'll need to update the firmware (see Samsung website for instructions) 2. You'll need to plug in a USB flash drive into the back with at least 1-GB of space (this is required for external storage). All of this should be stated in the users guide, but a lot of people just expect to be able to plug in the ethernet cable and everything "just work", unfortunately it's not that simple.

How do I get true 5.1 surround sound out of an optical audio cable?

blu ray player 2 hdmi outputs
 on LG BD370 Network Blu-ray Disc Player Review & Rating | PCMag.com
blu ray player 2 hdmi outputs image

Rob

Before you answer you have to look at my setup first..

Audio/video sources: directv receiver, ps3, seperate Samsung blu ray player.
Sending those signals to tv via hdmi.

Samsung HDTV with 3 hdmi inputs. No hdmi outputs and 1 optical output.

Audio surround sound amplifier: 5.1 channel Panasonic SC-PT760. 1 hdmi output. 1 optical input. NO hdmi input.

Sending audio to this via optical output from tv to optical input to 5.1 receiver.

My surround sound system is a Panasonic sc-pt760. It does not have an hdmi input. So to get my "surround sound" I have hooked up a clear colored Philips Optical cable and the tv sends all audio to my Panasonic surround sound receiver to its optical input. This way I don't have to switch audio inputs. Whatever the tv plays the receiver plays.

My question is how do I get true 5.1 surround sound? Because when I switch the Panasonic surround sound receiver off of Dolby pro logic 2 setting, the rear left and right surround sound speakers don't have any sound suggesting the only reason they had sound was because when Dolby pro logic 2 was on it was converting 2 channel stereo audio to fake 5.1 audio.

So does that mean the tv can't output 5.1 through it's optical output? I don't know how to get true 5.1 to my receiver without a lot of plugging in and unplugging when I'm using that source.

Please only qualified individuals answer. I don't want opinions. I just want somebody who either does this for a living or really knows their stuff. Thanks in advance. :)

Answer
I would like to apologize to you for those who keep reminding you the HT in a box are no good.
In tough times like today, not a lot of people could afford to just ditch their HT in a box, and get a new system. Jeeeezz!

Keep in mind that not all TV channels broadcasts in 5.1. Most DVD & Blu-rays do.

That's why the system has that DPL2 is to simulate those not true 5.1 audio signals.

No matter how expensive you pro system, like these folks keep recommending, it will not play true 5.1 audio if the source media was not recorded in 5.1.

Panasonic is a very respectable brand, they would not falsely indicate that your system will play 5.1 audio if it really does not.

What blu ray players will be compatible with my old tv?

HRS

Hi everyone. I'm a college student with an old Samsung TV that has inputs for red, white yellow cables as well as green blue and red. I'd like a blu ray player that can hook up to the internet (so I don't have to get cable, I can just watch netflix). My pipedream hope is for one around $50, but I'm more realistically looking around $80. Does anyone know any models that will work with my tv and play from the internet? Will these players also play my DVDs? Thanks!

Answer
The yellow connector is analog composite video, which can not carry HD (it's not even the best for SD).

The red, blue and green set of connectors carry component video, which IS capable of carrying HD even though it is not digital. Component HDTV is generally limited to 1080i (there are exceptions).

The red and white pair is of course right and left (respectively) analog audio.

Is your "old Samsung TV" an "HD Ready" TV? If it is an "HD Ready" TV that accepts 1080i over its component inputs, that would be great.
It could just be a standard definition TV that has component video inputs for progessive-scan DVD playback, but not capable of HD through those inputs. It would still be better over component than composite (at least you'd have progressive scan); composite would be your last resort.

Older Blu-Ray players did have component video outputs for HD video, but they quickly switched over to HDMI for several reasons -- see below.

Used/refurbished Blu-Ray players with component video outputs can be found for sale on the web if you search for "Blu-Ray player with component video output." I found some in your price range when I searched.

At "brick and mortar" stores... you might find one at a pawn shop or a resale shop.

Edit: One more thought -- This might all be for naught if your main reason is to hook up your TV to the internet, because older Blu-Ray players are not as likely to have that feature.
Do you have a laptop computer? You could just watch Netflix etc. on that.

-----------------------------------
Sidebar: Why did HD device makers drop component video and adopt HDMI?
1. Convenience for consumer: One cable for video and audio.
2. Digital transmission of the signals: immunity to RFI/EMI and cable-length issues (up to a point).
3. (IMHO the most important reason of all for manufacturers and distributors): DIGITAL RIGHTS MANAGEMENT (aka copy protection).
Component video is not encrypted, so a tech-savvy person could copy HD content carried by it. To prevent copying HD content, HDCP ("Highband Digital Content Protection") is used. HDCP encrypts HD content and checks every link in the chain from source to screen for full compliance (to prevent a "rogue" device in the chain from making copying possible). They even put an updated list of rogue devices on new Blu-Ray discs as they release them. At the content maker/distributor's choice, one of two things can happen if any link in the chain is not HDCP compliant: either it will display the content non-HD, or it will pop up a box on the screen saying that it can't play the content unless the non-compliant device is replaced.

I just got a philips blu ray player. Came with wifi, netflix, etc and also with a usb port. I want to watch my movies I have on my tb seagate hdd on my tv with the blu ray player but when I connect it its almost like its not spinning fast enough because the blu ray player isn't picking it up. What do i do?

Answer
Does the instructions say it supports a USB hard drive?

Most blue-ray players have USB ports for 2 reasons:

* So you can up-load newer versions of the firmware
* So the player can 'save' your setpoints or D/L content available on "Enhanced" BluRay disks

You really want a "Media Server" like the Roku box or Western Digital TV HD box or some such (there are lots of these units out there). These will play computer files from your flash drive or USB hard drive.

Just because a device has a USB port - dont assume you can plug any USB device into it.

Can a wifi enabled Blu Ray player with applications access them without a smart TV?

Daniel Sta

I have recently decided to purchase a home theater system/Blu Ray combo that is wifi enabled and has Netflix/Pandora/Youtube applications on it. I am also going to get a new TV but i don't really want a smart TV seeing as how they're a lot more expensive than regular LCD 1080p TV's.

I'm just wondering whether i need a smart TV in order to access the applications online, or if i can just connect to my wifi and the Blu Ray player will be able to use all of the applications by itself.

Also, i don't need full internet access on my TV, i was just hoping to use the applications that were already on the Blu Ray player like Youtube.

Thanks!

Answer
Just connect the blu-ray player to the TV, The blu-ray will do everything. The TV doesn't have to be Internet capable at all.

I think you will just need a HD TV or a computer you'll be able to watch the instant/streamed video from Amazon Prime.
A Blu-ray player is only required when you play the physical Blu-ray discs.

What would be better, ps3 or the new xbox 360?

Q. I plan on getting one of the other in about a month or so. And i was wondering what do you think is better. the ps3 or the new xbox 360?
Thanks

Answer
In my opinion, I would choose PS3 as my first choice beside playing games. You can play blu-ray, free online capability and has a very nice game to choose from. For Xbox 360, If you're a fan of Halo Reach then you're surely enjoy having the Xbox and if you want pay online to play with you're friends xbox has excellent online service, packed with features then definitely get the xbox 360. Here is something i know about between the two gaming console. Both are very good.

BestSelling PS3 Console Set:
http://www.amazon.com/PlayStation-3-160-GB/dp/B003VUO6H4/ref=sr_1_2?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1285325717&sr=1-2&tag=blwos-20

Playstation 3 is designed for users who can play games in high definition using Blu-ray disc, connect to the Playstation Network for free online gaming with friends, download demos, trailers and games from the Playstation store, store music, video and photos, and browse the internet as you would on your PC.

Here is a very good comment from an actual player of PS3:

PlayStation 3 is not only a video game console, but also designed to be a digital entertainment device or home-entertainment computer. It features in its special CPU called the Cell Processor, which can be updated for different performance needs! Besides, it incoporates marvelous memory capabilities which enable you to play games and watch movies at the same time. With PS3, you may enjoy a luxurious visual-dinner for its support of high-definition. Another benefit is that does not require to pay "double fees" to play online games and download videos.

Some of the most popular PS3 games are:
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves , Red Dead Redemption, God of War III, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, LittleBigPlanet, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Demon's Souls, Bioshock 2, Assassin's Creed II, Killzone 2, Gran Turismo 5 etc.

While the Xbox 360 is a total media center that allows users to play, network, rip, stream and download all types of media, including high-definition movies, music, digital pictures and game content.

The Xbox 360 can also display pictures and perform slideshows of photo collections with various transition effects, and supports audio playback, with music player controls accessible through the Xbox 360 Guide button.

Hello, I am trying to burn mkv movies to a blu ray disc so I can play them on blu ray players instead of keeping them on my computer hard drive. (without decreasing the quality of the video.) Also I would like to have a title screen on the disc when it plays. Could anyone explain step by step on how to do so! Thanks!!!

Answer
Please make sure you have a blu-ray burner, DVD burner can't burn blu-ray disc.

And then you can follow this guide, it will show you how to burn files to DVD/Blu-ray disc, this way works pretty well for me.

What can I buy that will play any mkv files from my Flash Drive onto the TV?

Mahdi

What can I buy that will play any MKV files from my Flash Drive or external hard drive, onto the TV? I know blu-ray players only play a few mkv files but not all, so what can I buy that will play all of them? Most people tell me just connect my Laptop to the tv, but is there another way? I don't have a Laptop, I like Desktop computers

Answer
I've been using a Western Digital TV Live media player to play such files through my TV for the past several years. It has 2 USB ports that will accept flash drives or external hard drives. It comes with a remote.

How can I watch my favorite TV show on 3D TV?

blu ray player 2d to 3d conversion image

Guy Wood

Will it become 3D or remain as 2D show, with or without the 3D glasses?
I need some information, please? Thank you

Answer
Without the glasses you can still watch 2D TV. Most of what you watch will be in 2D (don't forget there is 60 years of TV in 2D).

As the other poster said, you can convert 2D -> 3D (and you'll need the glasses) but the 2D -> 3D conversion is not very good.

From CNET

"Many 3D TVs include 2D-to-3D conversion processing that will allow viewers to "watch everything in 3D." However, in our experience those systems don't come close to the realism of true 3D content. Check out our "Avatar" in simulated 3D comparison for a taste.

In 2011 some Blu-ray player makers have announced units, llike the Sony BDP-S780 and the Samsung BD-D7500 that will offer simulated 3D from 2D discs. We haven't tested any yet, but we don't expect miracles."

Can i watch 3D movies without the glasses, or would the picture be fuzzy?

Brady N

for example, if I had a Samsung series 7 3D T.V, with a samsung 3D Blue-Ray player, and i put a Blue-Ray 3D dvd in and watch it, and my 3D glasses get broken halfway through the movie, can i still watch the movie without my glasses, or would the picture be blurry.

If so, would there be a button you could press so that the t.v didn't broudcast in 3D, and it could then just be watched normally?

Answer
1. You cannot watch a 3D-encoded video without the glasses, which decode the image so your eyes can send a signal to your brain that makes it look 3D. Depending on the tech, you'll usually see a very blurry image, which represents the z-axis off-setting they use to make 2D images look 3D.

2. Can't say for certain, but I would expect that, since not all TV signals and movie signals (in fact, very few) are available in 3D, you can either manually turn off the 3D, or the TV handles the conversion automatically. It'd be exceptionally stupid manufacturing, marketing, AND purchasing all around to spend $2,000 on a TV and another $500 on glasses if the damn thing only works for the handful of Blu-Ray discs out there that support the tech.

I'm thinking of getting a PS3 (UK) as I was going to buy a blu-ray player and would be cool to play games on. I've heard that it can do some other things online such as watch BBC iplayer, use facebook, use lovefilm.
But is there any other things that it can do (ie youtube )

?

Anyhelp would be appreciated thanks

Answer
It varies depending on your region. In the US, it does not have BBC iplayer, nor VidZone. The youtube app is in development, last I heard.
You can go to youtube via the internet browser, but you get youtubeXL.

Other apps: Netflix, VUDU, Hulu+, MLB.TV, NHL... That's all I can think of at the moment.

mlb tv blackout question?

Miles

so im thinking about buying mlb tv and i was looking into it a little today and what i think i saw is that when my team is playing at home which is Seattle i wont be able to watch those games live but i would be able to watch them about a hour after the games over. did i read everything right or am i wrong please and thank you for the help

Answer
As mentioned, all games for teams in your blackout region will be blacked out -- not just the home games. The primary purpose of the blackouts is to protect MLB's relationship with television partners, so that is why away games are also blacked out. As you mentioned, you can watch the games after they have aired. But you can also watch games live by hiding your true IP address. I watched most of the Cardinals games with MLB.TV last year, and I live in their blackout region. You simply need to access their website with an IP address outside of the blackout region (ideally an IP address outside of the US or Canada). You can do that by using a proxy, a VPN, or software like Ultrasurf (basically a proxy). The easiest method I've found is to use either a proxy or Ultrasurf and configure a browser add-on like FoxyProxy to automatically use the proxy when you access mlb.com. It's very simple. Note that MLB keeps track of the IP addresses that you use to access games, so you should never load a game using your real IP address (even to watch game outside of your blackout region). And of course, the method I've described is only possible with a PC and will not allow you to watch games with an MLB.TV compatible blu-ray player, media player, etc.

What kind of laptop should i get?

Kelsey

I really like the Macbook pro, but they are really expensive. i dont really know that much about laptops or notebooks, but i would want it to be fast, have a built-in web cam, good sound quality, a nice, big screen, and maybe a blu-ray player. if you find any that match most of these things, could you post the weblink in your answer and how much it is? thanks so much!

Answer
You don't need a Pro. Apple lowered the MacBook to $999.00. Here's why you should get a Mac:: There are NO CONS. The MacBook does both WinBloze and OSX, no other computer can make that statement. You have the best of the best. Apple Stores are popping up all over and you can make an appointment for a time and date, bring your computer there. They will troubleshoot it and fix it if it's a software problem it's FREE. What other computer company has stores and can make that statement? Get the 2.4 GHz with 4Gigs Ram and you got a speed machine like mine. The WinBloze people may not like a Mac computer but I'll bet they all have iPods. Go Mac and Never Go Back. Mac, the User Friendly Computer.
If you read the questions here you will notice that most problems are about every computer except a Mac.
