I just got a Blu Ray player that is youtube and netflix ready, although my only problem is that the room that I want my player to be in is not near my router, and I'd rather not run a wire through my home. Is there a ethernet to wireless adaptor that i can plug in to the player that will connect to my router?

Answer
Depends on the blu-ray player. You will have to check the manual to make sure that your player is capable of wifi. If it is, it will tell you what wireless adapters it is compatible with.

How can I update my sharp blu ray player without ethernet,or by using wifi?

I have a sharp blu ray player and I do not have DSL I have to turn on my cell phone's hotspot for internet on my computer or the ps3. I went to try to update my blu ray using wifi and it keeps telling me it is not hooked to some cord or cable and I am asuming it means the ethernet but how can I work around this to use wifi to update it?
I don't have the manual

Answer
Dig into the manual for a way to do it with a USB key. Many players can do that.
