Can I play Blu-Ray Files on my PC?

Okay I know my computer doesn't have a blu-ray drive, so it can't play blu -ray dvds. But if I had the file that would be on the disk on my hard drive could it play it through a media player?

What blu ray players can play burned DVDs?

I have the Samsung C5500C and I just tried play this DVD I burned and it keeps telling me it cant recognize the disc. So I am asking did I burn it wrong or does it not play it at all. Which Blu Ray players can play burned DVDs?
