Any Recommendation for a Blu-Ray player?

Darkcobra

can anyone recommend a good Blu-Ray, which will play all types of DVD/Blu-Ray's without trouble? Price range doesn't have to be low but also doesn't have to be to high.
It doesn't have to have region free though i would prefer one which offers region hacks (im aware these void warranty) as i have lots of imports from the US and Japan.

Thanks

Answer
YOU ARE NOT GOING TO BE ABLE TO MAKE ANY BLU RAY DISC PLAYER IN THE MARKET A REGION FREE BY HACKING IT. THERE ARE ONLY 2 BLU RAY DISC PLAYER THAT ARE A UNIVERSAL PLAYER, ONE IS THE PIONEER ELITE AND THE OTHER IS THE OPPO. THE PIONEER ELITE STARTS ARE $350 AND THE OPPO IS $499. PANASONIC WOULD BE THE MOST RELIABLE PLAYER IN THE MARKET, BUT IT IS NOT A UNIVERSAL PLAYER. HOPE THIS WILL HELP YOU OUT. KEEP IN MIND, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.

can i play a blu-ray dvd on a normal dvd player?

Answer
Blu-Ray disks are NOT DVDs. Blu-Ray Disc, or BD, uses a blue laser to read the information. DVD players use a red lasers to read the information on a DVD disk and while BD players include a DVD laser, DVD players do not include a blue laser for reading Blu-Ray disks no matter how much hacking you do.
So no, a standard DVD player will never play a Blu-Ray disk.
