What would cause a Vizio blue ray to buzz? VR220 Blu-ray player with wireless internet apps?

Roger Floy

I just got a VBR220 Blue Ray player with wireless internet apps. Trying to hook it up and its making a buzzing sound. What could cause this?

Answer
Something in the fan of the player. All major electronics come with a fan to cool down the system from overheating. Since that's 1 of 2 moving objects in the player, I'd put money on that. If not that, then the player may be hitting something. Usually buzzing is caused by one of these.

Fastest blu-ray player that is wifi ready with netflix and the most apps?

Laura

Been looking at reviews online and found good reviews about the Sony BDP-S580, but heard that it is slow. Wondering if any other players have netflix and other apps, but are faster?

Answer
Depending on the apps you want, you may have to sacrifice speed for app variety or vice versa. I have the Sony BDP-S580. It does have an excellent app selection. The speed it has is more than sufficient for me, but it is definitely not the fastest. The interface does leave a bit to be desired.

I would start with the Samsung BD-P3600. It has been rated as the fastest loading player available by CNET and others.
