Answer
Depends on what you're willing to spend, If you have the money I recommend building one that will last you a long time, if you're on a budget then I would pick up a XPS from dell.

I was going to build mine but I found a company named cyberpower that was able to build it cheaper than I could buy the parts, but I bought the monitor separate from newegg they seem to have the best prices on monitors for me. This is what I bought

Need some help, what is the best multimedia laptop?

GT

I am not going to get a Sony, due to bad experiences. My needs are 1080p, at15 - 17 inch screen and blu-ray player, and not too heavy/loud/hot. So what laptop would you recommend for this? Your suggestions would be appreciated.

NO SPAMMERS

Answer
I have a few that I would recommend and they have great price tags:

*4 GB of DDR3 1066MHz DRAM (2 GB x 2 slots), 4 GB Max; Intel Wireless 802.11 b/g/n + WiDi
*500 GB Hard Drive (5400 RPM); Super Multi Optical Disk Drive; Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit) Operating System
*14-Inch HD (1366x768) LED Display; HDMI Port; USB 3.0 port; 8 cell 5600mAh battery (up to 10hrs battery life)
