Samsung bluray player will play regular DVDs on Vizio tv but not bluray discs?

I have a samsung blu-ray player and it will play regular DVDs in the Blu-ray player that is hooked up to the Vizio TV i have. It will not play blurays.

I hook the same bluray player up to a panasonic tv and sony tv we have in my house and it will play the bluray discs.

This is a problem with the tv. What should I do?

I was unable to find a firmware update from Vizio, but that doesn't mean none exists. However, you didn't mention what model or size you have - this could make a difference. If it's under 40" diagonally chances are it's 720p which won't be able to display the 1080p coming from your blu-ray player. It could be that your Panasonic and Sony TVs, even if not a larger size, could be 1080p which will display blu-ray output. Let us know this information, and if your set IS 1080p we'll keep looking...

Why is my Vizio Blu Ray Player is not connecting to apps?

Two years ago I purchased a Vizio BluRay player and all has been just about perfect with it , it came with pre-loaded apps on it (netflix, pandora, vudu, etc)... Unti now. Now it is connected to the internet (obviously we have wi-fi) but its not blinking on the back side the same color it usually does and when I try to log onto any of the apps on it , it wont connect. Im not sure what to do ?

Unplug it for 10 seconds then plug it back in. Also you can email vizio to check for a firmware update because it is an older blu-ray player.
