LG BP620C 3D Blu-Ray Player or LG BP620 3D Blu-Ray Player Does anyone know the difference?

Looking for a device, primarily to be used for streaming and playing media files.

I know one at least is discontinued model. That is not a concern.

Anyone have comments on these two or know the difference? Or is there one you prefer? Thanks for the help.

I ordered a WD box, not yet received. I think the reviews on these looked far better.

If you want a more reliable player than the LG, look for a Panasonic or Samsung. Keep in mind that 3D technology has not been a very popular technology with consumers. To be able to watch in 3D, you will need the following: 3D HDTV, 3D blu ray disc player, 3D blu ray movie (at this time there are only around 200 titles available and they are mainly animated movies from Disney) and 3D glasses for each person. Go online to Home Theater Magazine, which is now Sound and Vision and read the reviews on all product for your home theater. Watching in 3D also has a limited viewing angle. Hope this will help you out.

What should I look for in a Blu-Ray player?

Finally making the jump to Blu-Ray. Strictly in terms of picture quality (and not insanely expensive), what would you recommend? Brands/models etc.

Or what if anything should I look for in a Blu-Ray player that is important in terms of quality?

I'm not really interested in WiFi or 3D capability.

If you want a reliable player, then get yourself a Panasonic. They always have a player that is highly recommended by Home Theater Magazine. Go online and read the reviews on the Panasonic 3D blu ray disc player. I still use my first generation Panasonic blu ray disc player, which is over 5 years old and played over 330 blu ray disc movies without one issue. Hope this will help you out.
