Shopping for a wifi ready blu ray player to stream Netflix and Hulu. Must be wifi ready because it will be quite far from the router and I would like to spend less than $150. Thanks!

I have a PS3 and it streams Netflix no problem, and it has WIFI, u can buy one used for around $130 on Craigslist plus u can play video games on HD.

Thinking about getting my parents a smart blu ray player for Christmas... They have netflix, but don't have a TV with an HDMI or USB port so they are forced to watch it on the desktop. They have a Sharp 32" flat screen tube TV. Could a smart blu ray player be used with this to play blu ray and Netflix?

You do not need to have a smart tv if you purchase a smart blu ray player. Providing that your tv has the HDMI input. Smart HDTV is more expensive than not having one. Panasonic is the most reliable blu ray disc player in the market. They have had a model each year that is highly recommended by Home Theater Magazine from day one. I still use my first generation Panasonic blu ray disc player model BD-10. It is over 6 years old and played over 330 blu ray movies with one issue. It only required one firmware update about 3 years ago. Hope this will help you out.
