I am getting a lcd tv for my bedroom. I've never had a tv in my room before so I don't know what size would be best. My room is rectangula/square shaped...it' s not to small but not big either. The placement of where I would put the tv is about 6 feet away from where I would be viewing it. I was thinking of a 26 or 32 inch tv.

Which one should I get? Also are the prices reasonable? My parents will be buying it for me.. My dad recently bought himself the newest model of the samsung 26 lcd tv for his own room. Also should I purchase an hd upconvert dvd player? I can't afford a blu ray player but do blu ray dvd's play on an hd upconvert dvd player?
ALso I must telly you that i have a treadmill in the same room where I will have the tv! Will this pose a problem? I'm afraid that the tv will fall over or something when the treadmill is in use because I don't know whether it will shake or not?

Well I would get none of those because they aren't any good all of them has 720p and that is not the best TV to have,you need a 42 inch TV that has 1080p and is priced good,and I have just the TV for you click here

Well I would get none of those because they aren't any good all of them has 720p and that is not the best TV to have,you need a 42 inch TV that has 1080p and is priced good,and I have just the TV for you click here

I dont know too much about what is better(plasma,lcd e.c.t)I am looking to spend around $1,200.I would like the biggest size for a decent price.what brand is the best?and what is 1080 & 780?please HELP!!!

OK, now that your confused by that long answer some good information though. lets make it a little easier.
I was in the same boat a few months ago. I researched these TVS for about 6 months.
Findings: 1080p vs. 720P:
On a 42"-46" Your eyes cannot tell the difference unless you are sitting within 5.5 feet or closer of the TV. On 50" and up it is around 8.6 ft. But still not enough difference to warrant an extra $1000. Also nothing is being broadcast in 1080p and probably wont be for years, some Blu-ray's are in 1080p but no HD channels yet. By that time people will want the new OLED's anyway.
Plasma Vs. LCD:
Plasmas have a faster refresh rate than LCD. Even a Plasma @60Hz is still faster than an LCD @ 120Hz.
Meaning Plasmas have no "lag" so if you like sports or action films plasma screens will keep up with the motion.
Plasmas have a higher contrast ratio. Darker blacker and whiter whites. The myths of plasmas are a thing of the past. "Screen Burn-In" is no longer a problem because of the new technology(pixel shift, etc.) Life spans are about equal or even higher then LCD now. Some Samsung boasting a 100,000 hr life.
Power usage and weight:
LCD's are lighter and more energy efficient.
Plasmas are heaver and use more power.
I did the research and glad I did I saved At least a thousand dollars. All because I diddnt get swept up in the hype. I found my 42" Plasma 720P at Kmart for only $699.99.
Compared to the 40" Samsung T.O.C. 1080p 120Hz LCD, the tv I originally wanted, on sale @ Best Buy for $1699.99.
My refresh rate is faster and Is still faster. Picture for picture I would put my $699 tv up against ANY of them. Flawless pic and sound. I am VERY hard to please I will find a flaw in antthing, but this TV has to be close to perfect. When I say "close" I mean :1.)The remote could be nicer, and 2.) Could use one more input but I hook up toooo many things.
Whatever you do stay with SAMSUNG. I recommend a Plasma 720p.
If your looking for bigger I would say go with the same model in a 50".
and save your money to use on a blu-ray player.
Model I bought was the PN42A400 check it out, the specs. etc. and see if you like it. The PN50A450 newer 50" version is $999.99 at Best Buy. The PN50A510 is the 1080p version for $1299.99 Check all the customer reviews.
